The beverages we consume can significantly impact cardiovascular health, affecting everything from blood pressure to hydration levels. Here’s a personal perspective on the best and worst beverages for maintaining cardiovascular health when dealing with advanced heart failure.

The Best Beverages for Cardiovascular Health

1. Water
Water is the cornerstone of a heart-healthy diet. Staying hydrated helps maintain blood volume and ensures that your heart doesn’t have to work as hard to pump blood. I aim to drink at least 8 cups of water daily, monitoring my fluid intake as advised by my doctor to prevent fluid overload, a common issue with heart failure.

2. Herbal Teas
Herbal teas, like chamomile and hibiscus, are excellent choices. They are naturally caffeine-free and contain antioxidants that support heart health.
